Nukor offers a complete range of competitively priced, highly efficient monocrystalline photovoltaic panels suitable for New Zealand’s unique environment and user base.

 

EFFICIENT

We have chosen to offer only the most efficient breed of “Mono-Si” or monocrystalline photovoltaic panels as we believe their higher efficiency over the more common amorphous and polycrystalline panels suit New Zealand’s seasonal variations and installations best. Our panels have rated peak efficiencies of between 15-16%

HIGH TEMP & UV RESISTANCE

What is not often talked about is how mono PV panels output efficiency changes with temperature and our panels retain their efficiency to much higher temperatures than many competitors mono panels. They are also incredibly resistant to UV degradation a feature that is important in New Zealand’s high UV conditions.

EXCEPTIONAL LOW LIGHT & LOW TEMP PERFORMANCE

Our panels manage to perform in the low light, overcast conditions that are so common in New Zealand. In our testing we have found their overcast and dawn/dusk performance to be among the best available, the same goes for low temperature operation (where Mono-Si already has a natural advantage).

GUARANTEED PERFORMANCE

All of our panels are supported by a 25 year “linear output warranty” which means that we guarantee their output for 25 years. In terms of performance this means that they will continue to output at least 97% of their rated output for the first year of operation and then from years 2 to 25 will only exhibit a maximum 0.7% reduction in output per year. The upshot of this is that they will still be putting out at least 90% after 10 years and still more than 80% after the full 25 years.

EXTENSIVE WARRANTY

As well as the 25 year output guarantee all our panels are covered by a full 10 year parts and manufacturing warranty. Our manufacturer is ISO9001 certified and all panels have IEC61215 and IEC61730 safety certification.

ECONOMICAL

Recently the cost gap between Mono-Si and the cheaper amorphous and poly-si technologies has become much reduced and in testing with our panels under NZ conditions we have found them to be more competitive from a cost per watt/hour of actual output.

EXTENSIVE RANGE

We carry stock in the full spectrum of sizes and outputs ranging from 195 to 310 Watts and also offer some unusual configurations that can be useful for architectural and marine applications.

FLEXIBLE PANELS

We offer a selection of flexible panels that are great for tricky installations where a flexible panel is required, we have installed a number of these on boats and were able to curve relatively large panels and mount them directly siliconed to the rear of the flybridge where they are protected from the wind.

ALL BLACK PANELS

These are essentially the same as our normal panels but all the mounting hardware and silicon mounting substrate is black. This gives the panels a uniform, dark colour. There is a small trade-off in efficiency for the all black panels compared to the same size normal panel.
